In the distant future, perhaps in the most glorious days of mankind, when it appeared that humanity had found worldwide peace and order, humanity had finally reached its long time goal of expanding to the final frontier with its colonization project. With it, mankind has reached as far as the Mars. It could be said that this was mankind's greatest accomplishment. As a result, the space colonization project officially marked the end of the Anno Domini calendar and the beginning of the Vinco Umbra Era.
However, mankind's history was destined to repeat itself. Just like the 13 Colonies of the Americas fought a war to separate from British hold, the Colonies have begun a war to annex from the Earth. Nearly a hundred years into the V.U. calendar, Earth and Space have broken the peace that should have lasted until the end of mankind. Battles between the Earth and Space were fought with large, humanoid machines known as mobile suits, which proved to be the most versatile weapon on the battlefield.
Among these powerful weapons, there was a class of mobile suit that stood out from the rest known as Gundams. Gundams were extremely powerful mobile suits with the potential of tipping the balance of war. Unfortunately, no one knows where the Gundams came from. The only well-known fact about them was that there were many of them scattered around the area that mankind deems as its battlefield and that they were essential to obtain victory. This knowledge of Gundams started the great race for possession of them. At this point in time, not even half of the Gundams are in military possession and are still dormant somewhere.
Though this war being waged between humanity appears to be one of conflicting idealism, it holds one large secret: the Nexus. The Nexus is an omniscient entity of unknown origin. The best way to describe the Nexus is a large collection of information and knowledge. However, no one knows what this information covers; it could be the wisdom necessary for humanity to survive, the key to winning the war, or it could contain the very collapse of everything humanity has known. One thing that both side are depending on, is that it contains the information on the location of all of the Gundams and how they came to be. Greed and lust for power has caused both sides to lead secret expeditions in search of the Nexus. But even now, in the year 125 V.U., no one has found the Nexus or any clue to its location…
But, then again, it's only a theory and a myth…

So I have stated a few times before that I have these Gundam fictions hidden away and do not intent to share with DeviantArt, but people have asked me if there is a way for them to read those stories. I declined all of them.
With that said, I have decided to do something to help satisfy those curious individuals with a Gundam fan fiction strictly for DA. It is an original idea mixed with the Gundam shows we have all learned to know and love in that the mobile suits from them are featured in it. What you may have taken time to read above is the premise.
Here's the fun part. This is a kind of collaboration project in that the characters in this story are created by others. Yes, I want those who are interested to all contribute one character (only one) to the story. My brother and I will also contribute, but our characters will not be the protagonists, therefore, I will not write the story unless I get a character that I will deem the protagonist from someone else and supporting characters following from others. I will put up information for those who wish to contribute a bit later on the conditions for character submission.
If no one gives a damn, I'm won't write it. But then again, who cares if I don't, am I right? Just thought it would be fun. I've always wanted to be a writer.
